How to Add Paddle Payments to a Lovable Application

To add Paddle to a Lovable application, ask Lovable to add built-in payments for your digital product. If Paddle is recommended and available, complete Paddle’s account form, ask Lovable to create products, test in preview and then complete the readiness check, seller verification and domain review before live sales.

Before you begin

You need a project eligible for built-in payments, product details and policy pages appropriate to your business. Begin with Join Lovable if needed. Paddle is a merchant of record, but availability still depends on product type, location and review.

1. Prepare a clear product page

Explain what customers buy, how it is delivered and its price. Add genuine terms, privacy and refund information. Paddle review may require substantive site content and policy pages.

2. Request Paddle-compatible payments

Add built-in payments for a monthly software subscription. Recommend the provider before enabling. If Paddle is suitable, create the product and price, require sign-in before checkout, update access from verified payment events and add a Manage subscription button.

Paddle asks for an email not already registered with Paddle, legal name, project or business name and policy acceptance.

3. Test before going live

Preview runs in test mode. Use test card details, complete checkout, reload and check access. Cancel through the hosted portal in a separate browser tab and confirm the app reflects the state.

4. Complete live readiness

Use Payments → Run check and resolve issues. Complete Paddle seller verification and domain review. After approval, configure payouts in Paddle. Test and live environments keep separate products and transaction history.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

The readiness check fails

Read each issue and update genuine policy or product content. Do not add vague placeholder pages.

Can Paddle sell physical products?

Use built-in Paddle for eligible digital products and software. Physical goods need a different setup.

What fees apply?

Lovable’s documentation lists Paddle’s standard fee, but verify current pricing with Paddle before publishing.

Official sources and next steps

Read Lovable payments. Prepare your terms and privacy pages before review, then test the portal outside the preview panel.
